We only publish figures we can stand behind. Every number below is project-specific and comes from Abol Tabol's own reporting. Where data isn't collected, we describe the work honestly instead.

Timeline

How the work has grown.

  1. 2019

    Abol Tabol established

Founded in Dhupguri with one simple intention — to stand by people, together with people. The ₹5 Meal Program begins as a self-funded effort.

  2. 2020

    COVID-19 emergency response

Days after inception the pandemic hit. Volunteers delivered cooked meals, medicines and arranged oxygen for families across affected communities.

  3. Following years

    Food distribution

Cooked meals continue year-round, with sponsored free-meal days on birthdays, anniversaries and in memory of loved ones.

  4. Every Durga Puja

    Festival initiatives

Uthsober Upohar gifts new clothes to 200+ dhaki families and 3,000–3,500 people across the Dhupguri block.

  5. Ongoing

    Emergency relief

Food, clothes, baby food and school supplies reach families after storms and floods.

  6. Ongoing

    Dignity care & mobility support

Wheelchairs, crutches and walkers delivered free of cost; a mortuary freezer offered to any family in need.

  7. 2025

    Environmental campaigns

Save the Green Dhupguri Railway Station mobilises citizens to protect the station's decades-old trees.

  8. Ongoing

    Community programs

Seasonal drives — lassi in summer, blankets in winter, umbrellas for outdoor workers — adapt to what the moment needs.

Community reach

Dhupguri block and beyond.

Most programs run from Dhupguri town. Festival distributions cover the Dhupguri block; tea garden kitchens reach remote communities in the Jalpaiguri district; emergency relief goes wherever storms and floods strike.
