Wedding Gift Project
A wedding is meant to be a day of happiness, but for many underprivileged families it brings more worry than joy. The Wedding Gift Project was born to make sure love and celebration are never overshadowed by financial hardship.

The problem
Parents from economically challenged backgrounds often go into debt to give their children a dignified wedding.
Our response
We gift essential wedding items to brides and grooms from struggling families — lifting a burden from parents and restoring pride on a sacred day.
Who we reach
Brides, grooms and parents from economically challenged families in and around Dhupguri.
How it works
Simple. Direct. Together.
- 01
Each bride receives a beautiful saree, a matching blouse and other wedding garments.
- 02
The groom is given a traditional dhoti and two sacks of premium rice.
- 03
Volunteers deliver the gifts to the family's home before the ceremony.
Impact
What this changes.
These gifts are more than fabric and food — they are symbols of compassion, dignity and togetherness.
Figures are project-specific and drawn from Abol Tabol's own reporting.
